Uriah Heep Suzi Quatro: The Resistance is Starting – Buffalo, NY Business Owners Stand Up to Cuomo Lockdown Orders | Armstrong Economics

I saw Uriah Heep in Boston 1974 December
but the star of the show was Suzi Quatro Italian girl from Detroit why I went, to see her.
One of the most pioneering figures of the age,
a leader in the punk revolution,
alt-indie alternative independent
women led band that is almost everything going on in music nowadays.
I thought to move to NYC and do part time rock critic reviews for the Rolling Stone, etc.
But music a distraction, no time for it.
I turned off my radio in 1974 for 20 years
and ignored the popular junk music being produced
while working enormous hours programming supercomputers.
I ordered several cars without a radio so as not to be tempted to listen to music.
Did not follow what was being done except what I heard in stores, coming out of windows.
I remember hearing David Bowie "golden years" at the news stand in Harvard Square where I lived and thought these are my golden years, and I was right.
Should have stayed in Boston instead of coming back to California.
I am still very opinionated on music but turned it off again 2020 due to pandemic, civil war,…
I should get her movie as I "discovered her"

48 crash, high energy, quite an attitude But will never be a real singer like Avril Lavigne queen of punk.

Before Suzi Quatro burst on the music world in 1973, there were almost no women in rock, and absolutely none who played bass and sang lead vocals and led the band and rocked out and reached millions of people around the world, re-writing the rule book for the expected image of women in rock & roll.

Singer, songwriter, bass player, bandleader, actress, radio-presenter, poet – there is only one Suzi Q, the pint-sized, leather-clad rocker who has sold more than 50 million records and in 2019 released a new album, celebrating 53 years as a working musician.

1974 Sep 05 - Music Hall, Boston, MA (w/ Suzi Quatro)
